We’re based in Coconut Creek, Florida and serve Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties — including Fort Lauderdale, Miami, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Pompano Beach. We’re SBE certified in all three counties and travel across 23 Florida counties for marine, federal, and specialty work.

What is mechanical insulation?

Mechanical insulation is the thermal and acoustic insulation applied to piping, ductwork, and equipment in commercial and industrial buildings. It controls energy loss, prevents condensation, protects people from hot surfaces, and reduces noise. Common systems include chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, and HVAC duct.

What is a removable insulation blanket?

A removable insulation blanket is a custom-fabricated, reusable cover that laces onto valves, flanges, fittings, exhausts, and turbines. It comes off for inspection or maintenance and reinstalls in minutes — no demolition. Our SpartaShield™ blankets are rated to 1000°F, made in the USA, and can be certified to MIL-I-24244 and NRC Regulatory Guide 1.36.

Do you insulate emergency generator exhaust and silencers?

Yes — generator exhaust is one of our specialties. We insulate exhaust piping, silencers, mufflers, and clean emission modules on emergency, standby, and fire-pump generators, using ceramic fiber insulation with a 2190°F classification temperature finished in aluminum jacketing, or removable SpartaShield blankets where components need service access. We work on hospitals, data centers, airports, wastewater treatment plants, government facilities, and any building that can’t afford to lose power. See generator exhaust insulation →

Do you do marine insulation for boats and ships?

Yes. We custom-fabricate exhaust, generator, and engine-room insulation for yachts, superyachts, cruise ships, commercial vessels, and US Navy and Coast Guard ships. Materials can be certified to MIL-I-24244.

Is Sparta Insulation licensed and insured?

Yes. We hold a Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor license (CMC1251623) and a Certified General Contractor license (CGC1539857). We’re a union contractor with Heat & Frost Insulators Local 60 and an SBA-Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

How much does commercial insulation cost?

It depends on the system type, pipe or duct size, insulation material and thickness, jacketing, and site conditions. Pipe insulation is usually priced per linear foot and equipment or valve covers per piece. Because every project is different, we provide free written estimates — see our cost & process guide for the factors involved, then send plans or photos to [email protected].

How long does an insulation project take?

A set of removable blankets can be measured and installed within a week. Larger commercial projects run from several weeks to several months depending on scope. You’ll get a schedule with every estimate.

Can you work on government and federal projects?

Yes. We’re an SBA-Certified SDVOSB and registered federal contractor (CAGE 3BXE3, UEI ZNP9MK8LJA86), with airport, military base, nuclear, wastewater, school, and secure-facility experience. We help prime contractors meet SDVOSB and SBE participation goals.
